A Legacy Stitched
Into Every Flag
PART I - A SINGLE IDEA. A SINGLE STORE.
In 1951, Louis R. Kengla opened the first brick-and-mortar flag shop in Washington, D.C. When mass production was taking over, he chose craftsmanship - working only with the makers of the highest quality American-made flags.
PART II - PRESENT AT EVERY MOMENT OF PRIDE
For decades, Kengla flags flew over courthouses, military bases, schools, and embassies. Trusted by federal agencies, military branches, and American families - we were even there when Pope Francis visited Washington, D.C. in 2015.
Part III - SAME MISSION. NEW HOME.
In 2015, Brian and Brittany Sobotka took ownership and carried the legacy forward with their sons. In 2022, Kengla closed its physical doors and moved fully online - not as a step back, but as a way to serve every flag-flying American across all 50 states.
